What is COS?

COS stands for Contest Of Speed, we are a worldwide community of racing enthusiast who have come together to share our passions for Formula 1 and Sim racing. We aim to provide a safe and fun environment for anyone to join and race in no matter their experience or skill level. As long as you are fair and have the ability to commit to weekly racing then we would be happy to have you. We currently operate 4 tiers of 20 drivers, 3 European based and 1 American. We are looking to expand this in the future to include more drivers and locations. However, we do have drivers committed to the league from all corners of the globe, racing from, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Canada, Brazil, Venezuela, Australia, Republic of Ireland, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Russia and Qatar. We have formed friendships with each other that would never have been possible was it not for the platform COS provides, and have even had drivers meet up at real Grand Prix. Besides the racing that brought us together, we hope that the community helps to keep people coming back season after season. We are run by 7 ‘Admins’ who are responsible for day to day running of the league and who work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. But ultimately we are a community shaped group, we operate off of time volunteered by our community and equally from their donations and we are eternally grateful that people feel as though we are worthy of their hard earned cash.

The league was created by some fanatic F1 fans in early June 2018, and has gone from strength to strength ever since. With 1 Tier quickly becoming 2 and then 3. This season we will even expand oversees with a 4th tier for drivers based across North and South America. In seasons to come we hope to expand even further to include more tier that can cater for drivers all over the world.

Having started by streaming our races on YouTube we recently moved onto Twitch, which saw a great increase in our viewership and the variety of people we have seen watching our races. Moving forward we want to improve the quality of our streams by bringing in a full time streamer and utilising stream overlays and images to create a more professional show that people will look forward to viewing every week.

Finally all there is to say is that if you think you have what it takes to race with us we want to hear from you. You can fill out a contact form and one of the admin team will be in touch, we are already looking to recruit drivers for Season 5 so there is plenty of time for you to get in touch.

See you all on the track,

COS Team
